I have Disappointing News, Great News, Shopping News and Tax News

First the Disappointing News from King Arthur Flour…

“I am writing to let you know that your Kente Cloth Gingerbread Person entry won an Honorable Mention in the Most Creative category of our Bake the Season Bright Cookie Decorating Contest! We received so many impressive entries and we are pleased to recognize yours as one of our favorites.”

My cookie had the most votes in the Most Creative category making it one of 5 Cookies the judges reviewed. There were no 2nd or 3rd Place winners, it was either win or go home. So I’m disappointed I didn’t win First Place (Yes, again, I know I’m very competitive!) but thank you all for your enthusiastic help and support…it’s not $5,000.00 but it means alot!;)

Next the Good News from The Columbus Foundation…

“Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that your organization has been selected as a recipient of a ScottsMiracle-Gro Community Garden Academy Grant. This grant program is part of ScottsMiracle-Gro’s commitment to the development of community gardens and green spaces in central Ohio. This is the 12th year of the ScottsMiracle-Gro Community Garden Academy Grant. To date, more than 100 local gardens and green spaces have been supported through this fund at The Columbus Foundation.”

The $500 ScottsMiracle-Gro Community Garden Academy Grant puts us that much closer to our Greenhouse dream-YAY!!!!

Now for the Shopping News…

Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Telos Training, Inc whenever you shop on AmazonSmile. http://bit.ly/1yYCMwo So for those of you doing last minute, online shopping at Amazon.com, please remember us ’cause every 0.5% helps!

And the Tax News…

If you’re trying to avoid a big tax bill and have a big chunk of cash you need to dispose of, well we’re still a long way away from that Greenhouse, so feel free to make a tax deductible donation online at www.telosinc.org, a verifiable 501(c)(3) charitable organization.;)
